At the entrance to the Te Waihou Walkway, I was confronted with this sign. Hope they don’t mean cameras!

The waters are crystal clear, the bottom is beautiful white sand and lush aquatic plant life is abundant.

Since this is a cold spring, the water temperature is around 50° F (10° C) year around.

The green aquatic plants slowly wave back and forth in the current. It’s mesmerizing (and looks better in video).

Much of the stream runs through farmland, but some traverses a small gorge and forest too.

There’s changing scenery around every bend.

There are lots of Trout in the stream. I filmed some of them on video.

As the stream passes through the little gorge, it breaks up into a series of cascades.

The lower portion of the walkway goes through mostly farmland.

Only one tiny sun break in the afternoon.
