Arrived in Arusha

I arrived in Arusha, Tanzania this afternoon after a grueling Redeye from Rome. Technically, the Redeye was from Doha, but the alliteration doesn't sound as good. I'm settled into my nice little Airbnb apartment that will be my base for a couple weeks. It's great to be back in Africa, I'm looking forward to the next 6 weeks. I'm taking a couple easy days to rest and acclimate. The temperature here is about twice that I've been experiencing the last month. Feels more like Bali, but with some altitude.

I've already seen my first wildlife of the trip:


I think it's a pygmy leopard. They are omnivorous, this one eats bits of hamburgers and fries. Not buying this are you? Well it's better than the first wildlife I saw on my last trip to Africa, that was a bunny rabbit. Pretty lame. At least this was a cat!
